Distraction...

It's been a bit since I've posted here, which is highly unfortunate because one of my last posts was about ramping up for studying for the GMAT. I didn't start right away because I left on vacation shortly afterwards...but that was a few weeks ago, and I'm still not getting anywhere.

It has recently dawned on me (ironically as a result of a raise at work) that I need to get serious about how the $$ situation is going to work when I go to school. I plan to sell my car (I'm applying to schools in cities where public transportation will be sufficient) but there is that little matter of rent, food, and other personal necessities. As a result...I have embarked on a strict budget.

One of the aspects of my newfound budget is eating out less and learning to cook (so that I can eat in and still have a social life). Up until about a week ago, my idea of cooking was EasyMac and Lean Cuisine. Then I discovered cooking...and that I like it! So, I'm learning...and becoming more distracted.

I am giving myself one more week of distraction and learning to cook, after which I will begin the studying process. Really.
