Here We Go

Again, it's been some time (months) since my last post. They should become more regular now, primarily because it's about that time. Gone are the days of researching, attending info sessions, and "improving my profile." It's time to get down to business. January is when my GMAT prep begins, I will (hopefully) take the test in March, and it will proceed from there until I apply in October.

My list of schools has changed multiple times in the last few years, although one school has remained strong and in place throughout. Wharton is absolutely my first choice and, in my opinion, the best fit for me. However, I realize that a huge amount of other applicants share that sentiment, and as a result, I have chosen a few others to apply to as well. Chicago GSB sounds promising, as do Cornell, MIT, and Northwestern. I'm less fired up about those, but who am I to turn up my nose to such highly ranked and respected schools, so I'll give them a go.

January snuck up on me. As a stated in an earlier post, my study months would either be October/November or January/February and, let's be honest, I was never really going to study before I absolutely had to. I can't say that I was tripping over myself to revert back to the days of standardized test prep, reminiscent of the SAT.

Bottom line: I'm off in a flurry of #2 pencils. Or mouse clicks, as the GMAT is very with it and is now a computerized test. Nevertheless, here we go...
