Sometimes, it IS the destination.

To give the {brief} background to my blog, I have been a MBA hopeful for several years now. I did the whole school research bit two years ago while I was in my last year of undergrad, because I had hoped to go to b-school right after I graduated. My, how things have changed. However, fast forward two years, and here I am again, going to the fairs, stalking (against my better judgement) the forums which defeat my hope daily while simulateously pushing me to work harder to perfect my profile for admission.

I am planning to apply in October 2007 for entry (theoretically) in Fall 2008. Why, you ask, am I starting now? Well, several reasons. One, I have had a dream for some time now to attend Wharton. And as they are a bit selective (to put it lightly), I figure I might as well give myself a fighting chance. I plan to go into finance, and Wharton is the best there is.

So, the purpose of this blog is to chronicle the journey. And possibly, to provide myself with an outlet to talk about all of the b-school stuff swirling around in my brain so as not to drive my friends and family completely crazy.

In this case, the old adage "It's not the destination, it's the journey" does not ring true. Although I am sure I will enjoy the ride, all that really matters at the end of the day is that one moment when I will sign on to the Wharton website and receive either an acceptance or a ding.

So, here goes.
